The Farmington Police Department’s community relations liaison (CRL) position was established in July of 2013. The CRL is a non-sworn employee who also serves as the department’s public information officer. The CRL leads the department’s public relations efforts with the goal of fostering a community of trust by building bridges, creating new partnerships, and strengthening and supporting existing relationships between the Farmington Police Department, outside businesses/organizations, and the larger community. The CRL is also responsible for disseminating accurate and timely information to media outlets and the community.
