VENDING OPPORTUNITY: The City of Farmington Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs department is looking for a mobile food vendor to provide food service at the NEW! Bisti Bay Water Park during the 2019 and 2020 seasons.

The facility opening is expected to be the week of July 4th and shall operate daily through Labor Day weekend.  You can expect full capacity of up to 400 patrons each day. Public swim hours will be 11:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday and 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The vendor location will be set inside the perimeter of the facility with no access to the public on the outside of the facility.  Approximate space size is 12' X 16'. Electricity will be provided; however, no other utilities.  Pictured below is a general idea of the food truck location in relation to the rest of the park.

I've attached an application form and guidelines document that we use with vendors who want to be permitted to sell in our parks and at our facilities. This will give you specific scope and documentation requirements. A commercial use agreement will need to be executed with the awarded vendor, as well.

Some modifications to the agreement and scope would be:

  • Permit only for the specified time period and location
  • Food service must be consistent
  • City of Farmington will not provide any staff, materials, or equipment for this event other than those noted above.
  • Number of customers is not guaranteed

In addition, we are asking for a cost proposal as payment to the City to operate at this facility during the specified time frame.

If you'd like to be considered for operating at this facility, please complete the application and submit that document along with your proposal, menu and menu pricing to me by June 21st .

You may contact Shay at (505) 599-1140, sjacquez@fmtn.org with any questions.
