Farmington City Council formally considering adopting an Extended Rights Transfer Agreement

Farmington City Council formally considering adopting an Extended Rights Transfer Agreement between the City and Enchant Energy Corporation

After many months of work by many dedicated City, County, State, and community members, a successful preliminary feasibility study, and mutually beneficial contract negotiations between the City of Farmington and Enchant Energy, we are ready to move to the next step in a long process to try and save nearly 1,600 direct and indirect jobs and the associated tax base at the San Juan Generating Station and Mine.

The Farmington City Council will formally consider adopting an Extended Rights Transfer Agreement between the City of Farmington (seller) and Enchant Energy Corporation (buyer) at 6:00 p.m. on August 15 at a special meeting at City Hall.
