Farmington Downtown Association

The Farmington Downtown Association is administered by the City of Farmington's Government Relations Division in partnership with the New Mexico MainStreet Program. The Farmington Downtown Association is committed to promoting commerce, culture, and community in Downtown Farmington through the nationally recognized National Trust for Historic Preservation's Main Street Program. 

The Main Street Program's success is based on a comprehensive strategy of work, tailored to the local needs and opportunities, in four broad areas called the Main Street Four Point Approach. One single project cannot revitalize a Downtown area. Small projects must be taken on and completed to build confidence in the program and give the participants attainable goals. Strong leadership and community involvement are essential in the Main Street program. The involvement need to come from both public and private sectors.
