For sixteen years, this group has been dedicated to creating art outdoors, a practice called plein air, which allows for direct observation in capturing light, shadow, and color. The exhibition in the museum’s lobby features approximately 40 works from artists across New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and Arizona.

    Join a group of beginning and experienced birders for a walk every Tuesday at the Riverside Nature Center and follow the changing seasons. Over 135 species of birds have been seen in Animas and Berg Parks, and this is your chance to see some of them. Bring your binoculars and bird book, or borrow some at the Nature Center. Come early for coffee and to observe birds at the feeders before the walk begins.
