New Mexico has become a world-renowned place for dinosaur discoveries. Fossils found in the state have helped scientists learn how dinosaurs lived, how they evolved, and how they went extinct. Since opening in 1986, the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science has become the number one place to view dinosaurs from New Mexico. Now their collection will be on display at the Farmington Museum.

The Farmington Museum welcomes the return of the Plein Air Painters of the Four Corners. For sixteen years, this group has been dedicated to creating art outdoors, a practice called plein air, which allows for direct observation in capturing light, shadow, and color. The exhibition in the museum’s lobby features approximately 40 works from artists across New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and Arizona.

Join us at the Farmington Public Library for a celebration of the iconic author and illustrator Maurice Sendak! Presented by the Farmington Public Library Foundation.
The Maurice Sendak Memorial Exhibition is a retrospective of original works by Maurice Sendak. The collection has been on tour since 2013, the 50th anniversary of the publication of Where the Wild Things Are. This collection is exclusive to one location in each state, and the Farmington Public Library is the only place in New Mexico where you will be able to see rare and exclusive works by Maurice Sendak.

We can take Yard trimmings and waste, Scrap metal, non-hazardous trash, cardboard, dried paint, electronics, appliances, televisions (limit 2), refrigerated units (limit 2), and tires (limit 8).
Household Hazardous Waste collection will also occur at San Juan College (Farmington Campus) and San Juan County Offices (in Aztec) on Saturday, March 24 from 9:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. They will take batteries, light bulbs, antifreeze and all other auto fluids, gasoline, household cleaners, fertilizers, insecticides, weed killers, and wet paint.
WE WILL NOT TAKE: Russian Olive/Pyracantha, cement or bricks, biomedical waste, radioactive waste, explosives, compressed gases, dirty 55 gallon drums or drums containing liquid. NO COMMERCIAL LOADS!
