The Farmington Museum has a large collection of photographs that document the history of the city and the surrounding areas. The images highlight the diversity of the region, from the people who call it home to the industries that drive the economy to the natural environment we all share. This exhibition features examples from the museum’s collection relating to Farmington’s Main Street.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, this lobby exhibition at the Farmington Museum explores the impact and influence the war had on American life. The exhibition features panels, courtesy of the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, and posters from the Library of Congress, alongside artifacts from the museum’s collection.

Drop into Riverside Nature Center with your unidentified rock and mineral finds to have experts identify them. Tour a gas and oil well and learn about petroleum geology. Look at the rock and mineral collections of the Farmington Museum as well as private collections. Learn about volcanoes, fossils, and careers in earth science. Scouts who bring their badge books can get requirements signed by our consultants.
