Passionate, fiery, sensual, and intense, Flamenco: From Spain to New Mexico, provides an in-depth examination of the history and culture of Flamenco dance and music. Flamenco has been shaped over centuries by a multitude of cultural and regional influences, and this festive and multi-dimensional exhibition explores the origins, development, and appreciation of Flamenco as a highly respected art form on the world stage.
This exhibition has been organized by the Museum of International Folk Art, Santa Fe, NM, and is circulated through Guest Curator Traveling Exhibitions. Supported by the International Folk Art Foundation. Exhibition Lead Sponsor: Heritage Hotels and Resorts and New Mexico Multi-Cultural Foundation. Join a group of beginning and experienced birders for a walk every Tuesday, and follow the changing seasons. Over 150 species of birds have been seen in Animas and Berg Parks, and this is your chance to see some of them. Bring your binoculars and bird book, or borrow some from the Nature Center. Come early for coffee and to observe the birds at the feeders before the walk begins.

Preschool children and their families bring lunch and meet at Riverside Nature Center for a picnic, followed by a story or activity and a stroller-friendly walk in the park. Learn about plants, insects, birds, and all the interesting wildlife. Feed the friendly ducks, and get home in time for naps.
