Explore the design process and create several simple pieces of metal jewelry over the length of the course in a hands-on experience for beginning metal smiths and hobbyists. Stream Dynamics, Inc. is offering a free workshop on the principles of rainwater harvesting, technical education for Low Impact Development (LID) and Green
Infrastructure (GI) strategies to use stormwater as a positive resource while mitigating sources of pollution in urban, arid lands, and city environments. Workshop topics will include one day of classroom learning on policy, design, implementation and maintenance strategies that promote best practices, as well as a one day, hands-on, field demonstration. Passionate, fiery, sensual, and intense, Flamenco: From Spain to New Mexico, provides an in-depth examination of the history and culture of Flamenco dance and music. Flamenco has been shaped over centuries by a multitude of cultural and regional influences, and this festive and multi-dimensional exhibition explores the origins, development, and appreciation of Flamenco as a highly respected art form on the world stage.
This exhibition has been organized by the Museum of International Folk Art, Santa Fe, NM, and is circulated through Guest Curator Traveling Exhibitions. Supported by the International Folk Art Foundation. Exhibition Lead Sponsor: Heritage Hotels and Resorts and New Mexico Multi-Cultural Foundation. The Four Corners Photographic Society is a local photography club consisting of members from the Four Corners region. Representing all levels of skill, in every genre of photography, the lobby exhibition emphasizes the creative expression of the recording and presentation of images taken from a variety of locations.
