The Personnel Division is responsible for employee recruitment and selection. Working closely with other City departments, personnel staff develops and coordinates the strategy for effective recruitment. By actively participating in the selection process, the division assists the other departments by increasing productivity through improved employee selection and development of current employees. The division also handles unemployment claims, classifies municipal jobs, coordinates the employee performance evaluation program, and conducts employee training.
