Animal Control answers calls everyday, whether it's about service in the county, wildlife questions, cats up trees, and a myriad of other things animal or insect related.
If we don't have the answer, we'll try to find an answer for you. So, when in doubt, call us with your animal concerns.
The City of Farmington is hosting a remote ACO/ACT training class (Basic Animal Care Tech 8 hours and Certified Euthanasia Tech 12 hours) on May 15 $175 - $150 ER and May 16 - 17 CET $250 - $225 or COMBO BOTH $375-$350 ER. Services include:
• Response to barking dog complaints (and other animal noise problems)
• Dogs at large (or other animals with the exception of cats)
• Dogs off owner's property
• Vicious dogs
• Animal bites
• Pick up of trapped animals (City of Farmington traps or private traps)
• Animal cruelty complaints
• Pick up of animals run over in traffic
• Close patrol of neighborhoods with specific complaints
• Nuisance animal calls
• Vicious animal calls
• Unsanitary conditions in yards
• Relocation of wildlife trapped in the city limits
Our Animal Control Officers are also called upon to visit the schools, neighborhood meetings, and after-school programs to assist with responsible pet care education.
