 About the Juror

Carl Purcell is the author of “Painting With Your Artist’s Brain,” a revolutionary watercolor book published by Northlight Books, and its companion volume, “Drawing With Your Artist’s Brain.” Carl taught painting and drawing for 30 years at Snow College in central Utah. He is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, an honor member of the Utah Watercolor Society, and a member of the Nevada Watercolor Society. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Masters of Fine Arts degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He is a very popular instructor, who has conducted workshops in Utah, Oregon, Wyoming, Colorado, California, Nevada, England, and the Scottish Highlands.

March 9 - Deadline for entry fee; on-line, mailed, or hand delivered contracts; SASE; slides/digital files.

April 4 -  Museum will send acceptance letters/e-mails, additional shipping/presentation instructions.

April 20-25 - Receive hand-delivered and shipped artwork. 

May 9 - Exhibition opens. 

May 16- 10am-3pm, Workshop, “Watercolor With Sparkle.”

            6pm - 7:00pm, Lecture- “Why Art Touches You.” 

            7pm - 9pm Exhibition Reception.

July 11 - Show Closes. 

July 15-18 - Artists must pick-up hand-delivered artwork.

Aug 1 - Deadline for Museum to ship artwork back.
