The Bonnie Dallas Senior Center Annex is taking appointments now. AARP volunteers will assist senior citizens age 50+ who have Standard forms, and are low income, prepare and e-file their tax returns. Appointments will be taken for Mondays and Thursdays at the Annex. Please call or stop in at 208 Wall to make an appointment and pick up a list of the documents you need to bring to get your taxes done. Remember, if you need a copy of your return from last year, you can call 1-800-908-9946 to order it. Some walk-ins may be accommodated on a first-come-first-serve basis. Garden Club Wednesday, March 2 10:00 a.m. The Garden Club meets at the Bonnie Dallas Senior Center Annex on the first Wednesday of each month. Please come if you like to dig in the dirt. For more information, call (505) 566-2256.
50+ AARP Drivers’ Safety Class Thursday, March 4 8:00 a.m. – Noon Register for this class at the Bonnie Dallas Senior Center Annex. Be a safer driver and earn a discount on your auto insurance. Cost for the 4-hour class is $14 – get a $2 discount if you have an active AARP membership card. Pre-registration is required – register early because space is limited. Quilting Open Lab Friday, March 4 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Bring your quilting project on the first Friday of each month and visit with other quilters in the Bonnie Dallas Senior Center Annex. For more information, call (505) 566-2256.
St. Patricks Bingo Party Monday, March 7 1:00 p.m. -2:00 p.m. The Bonnie Dallas Senior Center will host a special bingo and will supply the prizes and refreshments. Talk to the Doctors Friday, March 11 1:00 p.m. This event at the Bonnie Dallas Senior Center is hosted by San Juan Regional Internal Medicine and Pulmonology. The doctors are coming to get acquainted and answer your questions. They are taking new patients and they do accept Medicare. Please welcome them and come meet them in person. For more information, call (505) 599-1380 Senior Prom Dance Saturday, March 12 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. This annual dance, sponsored by the Bonnie Dallas Senior Center, will be held in the Suns Dining Room at San Juan College. This free prom for 50+ is brought to you by the Associated Students of San Juan College. The theme this year is “Spring is in the Air.” The Senior Center will be closed this weekend. St. Patrick Dinner and Dance Thursday, March 17 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Featuring live music by Grant Groblebe! The Bonnie Dallas Senior Center serves the best corned beef and cabbage dinner you have ever eaten for just a $2 donation if you are age 60+ and a $6 fee if you are younger. Volunteer Fair Friday, March 25 9:00 a.m. – Noon Volunteers mean Green! Recycle your talents to make a difference in your community. Drop in at the Farmington Civic Center to meet and speak with representatives from across the PRCA department.
