 $3000 Hiring bonus to be paid upon successful completion of the hiring process. 

• Academy/Probation . $20.90 per hour
• Step 1 ..................  $21.51 per hour
• Step 2 ..................  $22.37 per hour
• Step 3 ..................  $23.26 per hour
• Step 4 ..................  $24.19per hour
• Step 5 ..................  $25.16 per hour
• Longevity begins after step 5

Associates: $1500 a year
Bachelors: $2000 a year
Masters : $2500 a year

Retirement
Twenty year retirement at 70% of high 3 year average salary. Retirement is provided through the New Mexico Public Employee
Retirement Association. The employee contributes 16.3% and
the City contributes 18.5%.

Vacation / Sick Leave
Vacation and holiday pay for shift employee is 160 hours per year. At beginning of 6th year it increases to 200 hours per year and sick time is 96 hours a year.

Life Insurance
Life insurance coverage is paid by the City for employee’s @ 1.5 times their annual salary. Supplemental life policies are also available.

Deferred Compensation
Deferred Compensation companies are offered.

Health Coverage
Group Health coverage is offered. Single and Family premiums are
offered on a bi-weekly pay period. Retiree health benefits are available.
