Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program

This program assists eligible persons and families with their utility bills. If you currently qualify for LIHEAP – you are eligible to receive assistance to offset the additional monthly solid waste charge.

If you are not currently receiving LIHEAP and would like to qualify, you will need

• proof of household income
• an ID for the person filing the application
• a SSN for all household members
• one of the following from the past 12 months

• highest gas or electric bill for 30 days of service
• account history printout from a propane company, or receipts for two propane fills with the fewest days between
• a receipt for wood purchase
• a disconnect notice, if you have received on, or the cost of starting utility service at your home
