Responsibilities
The Animal Services Advisory Commission (ASAC) consists of seven members who serve staggered three-year terms.  One member represents the San Juan Animal League, one member represents the Humane Society of the Four Corners and one member is a veterinary professional.  The only criteria for the other four members is that they have an interest in animal issues. The purpose of ASAC is to advise the mayorCity Council and the parks, recreation and cultural affairs director upon all phases of operation and maintenance of animal services, including the animal shelter and animal control.
