 Farmington Lake Notification

Farmington Lake will be re-opening to non-motorized watercraft, May 1, 2015 - 10:00 a.m.

 Construction Advisories

  • Chip Sealing:   The

    City of Farmington will be Chip Sealing May, 2015.  Due to weather delays the project will begin May 18, 2015.   The order of the affected streets are:


    • Hallmarc Drive; Samantha Lane; Linda Lane; Schmitt Road and Pryor Lane
    • The chip seal process will take six days to complete all of the streets in your area.  Each individual street will take two consecutive days.  During each day the chip sealing is placed, please note the following:
      1. Your street is one of several scheduled for this day.  Construction may begin any time between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.    Once started, no vehicles will be allowed on the street until work is completed.
      2. Please move all parked vehicles and debris from street.  If we are unable to contact the owner, parked vehicles may be towed away at the owner’s expense.
      3. DO NOT DRIVE ON FRESHLY APPLIED or UNCOVERED OIL.  If you encounter oil without cover, please be patient until the protective rock cover is spread on top.
      4. The Chip Seal process includes a protective top coat of loose rock that will be boomed the following day, allowing curing and spreading.

  • The City's contractor for milling and paving is scheduled to start May 4, 2015.  Below is the initial schedule.  For a complete listing click here.

  • Corcorran Drive between Butler Avenue and South Commercial Avenue will be completely closed to all traffic beginning Monday, April 20, 2015 through May 8, 2015  to allow for waterline installation.
  • Santiago Avenue between 23rd Street and 25th Street will be completely closed to all traffic beginning Monday, April 27, 2015 through May 29, 2015  to allow for waterline installation.
  • Piñon Hills Boulevard from Beckland Drive to College Boulevard will be restricted to one westbound lane beginning Monday, April 13, 2015 through Thursday, April 30, 2015 to allow for cleaning of the arroyo.

Detours and barricading will be in place and delays are expected. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.  Construction hours are
 8:00 AM TO 5:00 PM.
