Jason Sandel
City Councilor, District 4

Jason Sandel is a native of Farmington, New Mexico. He is the son of Jerry and the late Nancy Sandel who relocated to Farmington in 1957. Upon graduating from high school, Jason attended the University of New Mexico where he received a B.A. in Political Science. While attending classes at UNM, Jason interned for, then Congressman and now Governor, Bill Richardson and the New Mexico Legislature. Upon graduation, Jason served as Campaign Coordinator for Richardson and as a Policy and Financial Analyst for the New Mexico State Senate. Jason worked his way to the position of Senior Leadership Analyst for the New Mexico State Senate Leadership.

In 2002, Jason returned to Farmington to learn more about the family businesses – Aztec Well Servicing, Triple S Trucking, Totah Rental and Equipment and Double M Sales/Filter Service. In his official capacity for the Aztec Well family of companies, Jason serves as Vice-President of Health, Safety and Environment, as well as Treasurer. Most recently, Jason was elected to the Farmington City Council in March, 2006 to represent District 4. Jason is married to Stacy and they have one child, Stella, who is five years old.
