Join us for a variety of organized activities and unstructured time to work on individual projects while you socialize. Most activities are free, but some may require you to pay for supplies or register. 

Bead Work
Wednesday • 1:00-3:00 pm • Annex Sun Room
Join others to socialize while working on individual projects in this Native American art style. Supply your own materials.

Ceramics

Join Holly and Tina to work on painting ceramics and socializing. You may be required to pay for some supplies.

Crafty Ladies

Craft ladies who enjoy making a different craft each week and enjoy decorating the Bonnie Dallas Senior Center for special events and holidays.  $3.00 to cover the cost of supplies and pre-registration is needed.

Design and Basic Bench Skills in Art Jewelry Making

Have you ever admired a piece of jewelry and tried to figure out just how it was made? Begin a love affair with metal and jewelry making as you explore the design process and create several simple pieces of metal jewelry in a hands-on experience for beginning metalsmiths and hobbyists. Discuss using tools from home during the first session in order to keep down the cost. Supply list available from the Community Learning Center before the first class. Recommended (but optional) text: The Complete Metalsmith: An Illustrated Handbook, Tim McCreight (ISBN 0-87192-240-1, available online).
Current class runs through March 3, 2022.

By popular request you'll get to sit down while you exercise! Cultivate strength and flexibility in order to engage in fun exercise that is designed for aging bodies of all levels and abilities. Lonnie Whitaker is a retired Army combat veteran and a fitness professional used to adapting exercise to a wide variety of bodies. Current class runs through April 19, 2022.

Senior Fitness

Increase your fitness with this low impact exercise class designed for seniors emphasizing range of motion activities, agility and flexibility training with balancing skills. All exercises can be performed either standing or seated in a chair. Physical participation is required and participants work at their own pace. Current class runs through March 11, 2022.

Yogilates is the future of fitness; it is the unifying essence of yoga and the powerful, therapeutic value of Pilates fused together into one system. Yogilates gives a more balanced and complete workout than when either discipline is done separately. With regular practice, you will progress safely and quickly to a stronger, more flexible body and a more relaxed state of being. Drawing from his background in music and martial arts, Robert Beck has created original exercises that stimulate and enrich the mind, body, and spirit and are appropriate for a wide range of ages.
