Boards, Commissions and Committees

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the City of Farmington!

Residents can volunteer to help guide the City of Farmington by serving on a board, commission, or committee, each with specific responsibilities.  These advisory boards study information in specific areas and make recommendations to the Mayor and City Council on issues within that board's area of expertise.

It is important for those who want to serve to seek to understand the roles, culture, and efforts currently being made by our advisory boards, and educate themselves on what the next best step would be in their service journey. With that in mind, we kindly ask that you attend one or more of the meetings of the board(s) that you may be interested in and see how you could best make a difference there. Meeting days and times are listed in the descriptions below. After you have looked more into these opportunities, and if you believe one of our boards is the right place for you to serve, please fill out an application below.

*Please note, applications and attachments are considered public records according to the Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA). Applicants should expect that any communications could be released to the public. If you have any questions, please contact the City Clerk's Office at 505-599-1170.
