Compliance
Persons have the right to inspect public records of the City of Farmington in accordance with the Inspection of Public Records Act (Article 14, Chapter 2, N.M.S.A. 1978) and the City Council recognizes its responsibility as a public body to make public records available for inspection.
Public Records Request
A request to inspect public records may be submitted orally or in writing during regular business hours to the City Clerk, as the custodian of city records, at:

A written request must contain the name, address and telephone number of the person submitting the request and the records sought must be described in sufficient detail to enable the City Clerk to identify and locate the records. Requests to inspect public records will be processed in accordance with the procedures set forth in the Act.
Copy Fees
Copies of city records may be obtained at a cost of $0.50 per page for documents 11 inches by 17 inches in size or small. Additional fees apply for larger documents. The City Clerk may request that applicable fees for copying public records be paid in advance and a receipt will be provided for copy fees paid.
