Heather McGaughey Youth Theatre

Registration for the Heather McGaughey Children’s Theatre and Teen Voices programs has been postponed and WILL NOT open April 1, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.

Due to the uncertainty on how long social distancing and facility closures we will remain in place, we will reevaluate the program and registration dates once we know more.

If you would like to be notified about new registration dates once they are established, please call the Farmington Civic Center at (505) 599-1144.

The Heather McGaughey Children’s Theatre and Teen Voices, collectively know as Heather McGaughey Youth Theatre, was created in memory of Heather McGaughey, a professional actress and entertainer who tragically lost her life in Farmington in July of 2005. Heather strove both to pursue excellence in her art and to elevate those around her to their best.

The mission of the Heather McGaughey Children’s Theatre is to build the love of theater and promote self-confidence and teamwork skills in Farmington’s youth. The goal is to provide Farmington youth with basic theatre training and the opportunity to perform with Sandstone Productions. Students will focus on five key areas: The Actor's Process, Musical Theatre and Character Development, Theatrical Movement, Devised Theatre and Scenic Design.
