Full Adoption Process

pet-adoption

Once you have made a decision on who you will adopt you must show us your ID or driver’s license (must be at least 18 to adopt) and fill out the paperwork, including an adoption contract, and pay the adoption fee.

If the animal you have chosen is already altered then you can take the animal home that day. If not, your new animal may have to stay at the shelter an extra day or two so that it can get spayed or neutered and then it can go home with you. Unfortunately, no animal can go home until they are spayed or neutered and there are no exceptions to this rule.

You must be able to take the animal home when it is ready. We cannot hold animals after they have been adopted, mainly due to space restrictions.

We do not offer exchanges or refunds on adoption fees. We hope this encourages people to really think about their decision and make a commitment to the animal they have chosen.
