Farmington Electric Utility System modifies face-to-face customer services in accordance with public health order

FARMINGTON, N.M. – Farmington Electric Utility System is modifying its face-to-face customer services in accordance with the governor’s public health order. Beginning Wednesday, March 25, FEUS’ customer service lobby and drive-through located at 101 N. Browning Pkwy. will be closed until further notice. Staff will be available by phone during the closure for all customer needs. Closing face-to-face operations will allow FEUS to reassign window and drive-through staff to phones, increasing the number of employees available to assist with calls.

Payment options:

  • Cash / Check / Money Order - Drop Boxes are available at 101 N. Browning Pkwy. - Customer Service entrance. Boxes will be labeled for Customer Service and New Service.
  • Electronic debit / credit card payments can be made by phone at 505-599-1353, option 1
  • Manual debit / credit card payment with a representative can be made by phone at 505-599-1353, option 0
  • Electronic debit / credit card payments can be made online at www.fmtn.org
  • Mail payments to: FEUS, P.O. Box 712569, Denver, CO 80271

Individuals who need to connect utility services can fill out an application online at http://fmtn.org/182/Customer-Service. For those who do not have access to a computer or internet service, please call 505-599-1353, option 0, and speak to a representative.

As a reminder, the City of Farmington and Farmington Electric Utility System has temporarily suspended electric and water disconnection for non-payment in an effort to support customers who may be experiencing financial hardship due to the current coronavirus situation. Individuals recently disconnected for non-payment will be reconnected if requested (for example if someone sold their home, they would not need their service reconnected) with no fees. City electric and water utility departments will also waive all late and tag fees during this time. Additionally, collection and credit reporting will be suspended.

The City emphasized this is being done on an emergency basis to assist individuals experiencing financial hardship due to the current coronavirus situation. Those customers experiencing challenges during this time are asked to call customer service at 505-599-1353 to discuss payment options related to their account. The utility will work with them on a payment plan to lessen the burden to its customers.

Farmington Electric Utility System is committed to the health and safety of its customers and employees. FEUS will continue to provide all services while practicing "Social Distancing" in accordance with the suggestions and mandates set forth by the Office of the Governor.
