[ARCHIVED] Message from Mayor Duckett

Duckett COF

“I want to thank the governor for considering the concerns that I and other communities across our state have expressed. Providing a balanced plan for a path forward, considering the loosening of restrictions on certain businesses by next week coupled with a phased approach and the creation of an Economic Recovery and Mayors’ Council, is critical in considering the long-term physical and economic health of our community.

Our positive cases in San Juan County continue to grow; therefore, it is imperative that we take personal responsibility in helping to stop further spread of the coronavirus. I implore everyone to continue to be vigilant in their day to day lives by limiting human to human contact, washing your hands, not touching your face, and wearing a face covering in public places. We WILL get through this crisis. Remain positive and focused on what you must do to help your community turn the tide.

Please go to the San Juan County Office of Emergency Management Facebook page for daily COVID-19 updates,”  Mayor Nate Duckett.
