City of Farmington to Host Hiring Event

On-site interviews for select positions


FARMINGTON, N.M.  - The City of Farmington will host a hiring event on Feb. 7 and 8 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Farmington Civic Center. Representatives from the following departments and divisions will be there to answer questions:


  • Parks Operations

  • Farmington Civic Center

  • Aquatics

  • Farmington Regional Animal Shelter

  • Farmington Indian Center

  • Pinon Hills Golf Course 

  • Farmington Recreation Center

  • Farmington Fire Department

  • Alternative Response Unit (Farmington Fire)


In addition, City staff will conduct on-site interviews for the following positions:


  • Parks Maintenance Seasonal 

  • Parks Maintenance Technicians 

  • Certified Lifeguards (staff will be scheduling lifeguard pre-tests A.K.A. water skills tests, for individuals interested in becoming certified)

  • Lake Host

  • Lake Host Lead

  • Bisti Bay Cashiers

  • Pinon Hills Golf Course Maintenance Personnel

  • Indian Center Aide (Monday, Feb. 7 ONLY)


Human Resources Director Tom Swenk said, “Hiring events are a great opportunity for job seekers to meet with staff and have their questions answered before applying. These events also help expedite the hiring process for certain positions, which is a win for those looking to find work quickly and for the organization.”


The City has several current and upcoming openings, including full-time, part-time and seasonal.
