Ken Hoffman
Join us for a special presentation on June 24 at 3:00 p.m. at the Farmington Museum. Photographer Ken Hoffman, whose exhibition New Mexico: A Meditative State is currently on display at the Farmington Museum, will give a presentation discussing how every artist is influenced by other artists; some of whom lived during an earlier period, while others may have lived concurrently. Hoffman will delve into the photographers that have influenced his work and how his photography continues to evolve over time. He will also discuss his process, which is film based, printed in a traditional darkroom, and selenium toned. This program is FREE to the public. For more information, please call (505) 599-1174 or visit www.fmtn.org/FarmingtonMuseum.

Quilts and the Stories They Tell

A new exhibit, Quilts and the Stories They Tell is opening at the Farmington Museum on June 23rd and will run through September 9th. Part of American history and culture from the beginning, quilts are much more than bed coverings. Quilts are also family heirlooms and works of art that have stories to tell. Some stories are obvious, written on the fabric itself, while others require a closer examination to uncover. Quilts and the Stories They Tell showcases examples made locally alongside quilts brought into the region. The exhibition is FREE to the public.

Regular museum hours are Monday through Saturday, 8am to 5pm. For more information, please call (505) 599-1174 or visit www.fmtn.org/FarmingtonMuseum.
