Run, Romp, and play at the Farmington Regional Animal Shelter, 133 Browning Parkway, in the Animas Park grounds with your favorite canine friend and family. Educational and entertaining activities will abound for the whole family.
The Doggie Dash loop in the park starts at 10:00 a.m., and approximately two (2) miles. The loop starts at the Riverfest Runs location in Animas Park. Pre-registration for the event will be from March 1 through April 28, 5:00 p.m., and guarantees you a shirt and your walking pal a doggie bandanna. Doggie Dash check-in will start at 8:30. Shirts will be available for sale when the Bark in the Park begins. Proceeds will benefit the Farmington Regional Animal Shelter through the Regional Animal and Pet Shelter Foundation. Farmington Aquatic Center offers lifeguard certification classes, but you must pass the pre-test first to qualify.
Once you become a certified lifeguard you can apply to work for Farmington Aqutics and spend your summers at Lake Farmington, Lions Pool, and the Aquatic Center starting at $9.00 per hour, and you don't even have to wear shoes to work!
